Analytics

Measure the success of your recipe through analytics. Analytics in Context are high level metrics that allow you to gauge the success of your recipes.

All analytics displayed are based on the date range set. By default the range is set to the last 7 days.

Anytime you see a comparison value on the dashboard, the value is coming from the previously comparable time frame.

For example:

Impressions refer to the number of times your Shopify sections have been triggered or content variations have been displayed on a screen. Let’s say that your recipe is triggered and the content variations from the recipe are displayed to people’s screens a total of 2214 times. That means the number of impressions for the recipe is 2214.

It’s helpful to think of “Views by section” as “Reach”. It’s the number of unique visitors who have actually seen your individual content variations. First, a recipe must be triggered loading the content variations in each of your Shopify sections (Impressions). Then a visitor has to scroll to actually see the content variations in their feed (Reach).

Engagement is arguably the most important metric to pay attention to when you’re measuring recipe success. This is because engagement means a visitor has interacted with a content variation displayed within your recipe. Having someone see your content is one thing, but involving them and moving them to take action is another.

When your content inspires a user to take an action, you're much more likely to convert visitors into customers of your product or service.

Shown as a percentage, Engagement offers insight into the percentage of visitors who have interacted with your content variations.

The +/- % value uses the previously comparable time frame to the date range selected.

Taking engagement further, Context offers comparisons and breakdowns of the engagement by section and the content variations displayed.
